KEM Energía Constructora offers construction services in a variety of markets, including energy, oil, gas, chemicals, terminals, marine works, and mining.We are currently seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Operations Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the startup operations for construction projects. You will collaborate with project teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure the efficient and successful startup of operations.Responsibilities
Lead and supervise startup operators during the startup phase of projects.
Leads and insists on strict adherence to Lock out/Tag out Procedures (LOTO) and policies.
Develop requested LOTO’s, hang tags/locks and close out as required.
Coordinate with project teams to develop and implement startup plans.
Ensure that all equipment and systems are prepared for safe and efficient startup.
Perform startup procedures for various systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Conduct performance testing and troubleshooting of equipment and systems during startup.
Collaborate with the commissioning team to ensure a smooth transition from commissioning to startup.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in startup operations, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of startup procedures for mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Experience with performance testing and troubleshooting of equipment and systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic construction environment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
