Global IMS Automation Sr EngineerObjectiveResponsible for applying the design engineering and control architecture in the IMS Projects assigned to Technical Center, Develop applicability of machinery according with the requirements with our production processes with a focus on assets reuse to significantly reduce investments in New Launching Programs and Internal Operations Automation Projects to decrease labor, responsible for developing the training and Operation Manuals in IMS Project that he is involved.Main Responsibilities
  • Development of programmable logic controller (PLC), Human-Machine Interface (HMI), Robots and other controls required for Internal manufacturing solution projects assigned. These are complex programations in which the functionality of the machine depends.
  • Integrate and reuse the correct existing assets according with the specific requirements of the projects. For this, they need to be aware of the inventory in all Nemak plants, understanding the functionality and discussing the exchange of resources among plants.
  • Planning timing in the projects with daily, weekly and monthly management cycles.
  • Coordination with IMS Peers and leaders to share resources and avoid duplicity or costs.
  • Coordination with Manufacturing, Projects Development and Operations teams from the plants in the execution of Automation Projects.
  • Coordination with Manufacturing, Projects Development and Operations teams from the plants in the execution of Automation Projects.
  • Systematic administration of the database of the programs of plc´s, HMI, Robotics, Etc. To get information from the equipment performance and propose improvements.
  • Responsible of maintain the licenses of the software upgraded based in dates and ask for renovation when required.
  • Ensure the compliance with HSE regarding Machine Safety conditions.
  • Support the operation during startup curve of the new equipment, providing a full cycle service to the plant, the success of the machinery applicability, and reporting of wrong use to the internal customers when applicable.
  • Development of manuals and technical training for operation and maintenance to deliver the equipment for operations
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrics or similar required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Maintenance
  • English intermediate required
