- Serve as the primary legal point of contact across the organization, providing practical advice and solutions to internal stakeholders.
- Prepare, analyze, and negotiate commercial contracts to ensure alignment with business objectives and legal compliance.
- Oversee the planning and execution of RFPs, set financial thresholds, and develop internal procurement policies.
- Set up and coordinate an internal procurement committee to review bids and make collective decisions.
- Evaluate suppliers before and after contracting, using qualitative and quantitative criteria based on internal needs.
- Manage corporate governance documentation, including bylaws, powers of attorney, tax registrations, and legal records.
- Handle internal legal matters across corporate, labor, commercial, and regulatory areas.
- Coordinate with external law firms when needed, including negotiating retainers, fees, and scopes of work.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintain structure and oversight of legal and procurement processes with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.
- Broad legal background with at least 5 years of experience as in-house counsel or in a corporate law firm.
- Solid experience in corporate law and contract negotiation.
- Knowledge of intellectual property and data privacy laws, especially Mexico’s data protection regulations is desired.
- Experience working in a multinational environment.
- Familiarity with B2B business models.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Highly analytical, organized, and detail-oriented with strong self-management.
