Job Category: ST - Skilled TradesJob Description:Performs maintenance service or repairs in two or more skilled areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or instillations, or vehicle servicing.Responsibilities:Works under minimal supervision on duties and tasks that are frequently non-routine, adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special meeds. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Estimates time and material cost for various projects. Requisitions new supplies and equipment as needed. Resolves most questions and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher levels. May periodically assist in orienting and training new employees.Qualifications:Typically requires high school education or equivalent and tow or more years mechanical or physical facility maintenance experience. Possess a strong working knowledge two or more skilled areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or instillations, or vehicle servicing. Must be able to communicate ideas and convey and receive instruction accurately. May act as the project or assignment lead at times.
