This is a critical role with a wide range of responsibilities, including:
- Designing, implementing, and deploying new scalable and secure Golang and Node.js services.
- Designing and maintaining data-intensive, high-throughput gRPC and RESTful APIs.
- Participating in code reviews to ensure adherence to team best practices and processes.
- Collaborating with teams to develop technical requirements for new projects and improve existing ones.
- Monitoring and improving team engineering metrics.
- Investigating and resolving priority tasks, such as production issues, in a timely manner.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years developing application services using Golang, Node.js, and frontend frameworks/libraries such as React.
- 3+ years building highly scalable, performant, and responsive web applications.
- 3+ years developing applications deployed on AWS or GCP.
- 3+ years experience with Linux systems and shell scripting.
- 2+ years of experience with TypeScript.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Golang.
- 3+ years of experience writing and consuming APIs, including integrating with MongoDB.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Experience with technologies such as Redis, Git, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools.
- Experience in Video on Demand (VOD) streaming.
- Knowledge of authorization and authentication principles.
- Familiarity with third-party authorization and authentication APIs and software.
