As EHS Manager you will be responsible for maintain and improve the Environmental Management System based on ISO 14001. Stop any operation or activity that may endanger the physical integrity of any associate or colleague. Report any unsafe act or environmental/safety condition.About the Job:Acts as the Management Representative for the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.Complies with internal company policies.Develops programs and activities to improve EHS metrics.Reports required indicators to corporate for data collection.Monitors government regulations related to EHS.Communicates legal and regulatory changes to EHS coordinators.Attends site meetings as needed.Develops and reviews the annual EHS department budget.Seeks continuous improvement in EHS-related cost reduction.Participates in company social interest activities.Location: Piedras Negras, Coahuila.About You:Bachelor degree or University in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, engineering or closely related scientific field; masters degree a plus.7+ years of EHS related experience in a manufacturing environment.A broad knowledge and understanding of the applicable EHS regulatory and legal frameworks, regulatory requirements, legislation, processes, and procedures.Familiarity with EHS risk assessment methods and a proven record of implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies.Demonstrated ability to deal with conflict, able to effectively communicate ideas and positions and be an active listener.An ability to write reports, business correspondence, policies, procedures and work instructions.Strong computer software skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and EHS management database systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to support and interact with all business units as well as external customers.
