**Title**: Software Engineer
**Primary Location**: Mexico (MX) - Nuevo León JD Shared Svcs-Monterrey
**Function**: Engineering (CA)
**Main Responsabilities**:
- Implement tools & scripts for increasing efficiency and user experience in John Deere's OpenRTOS based embedded software development
- Innovate and experiment to define the next generation of tools used by the entire embedded development community at Deere
- Provide support to user community
**What Skills You Need**:
- Understanding of SW development (Preferred languages: C#, Python, C)
- Understanding of object-oriented software
- Understanding of embedded software development
- Good written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Knowledge on Linux
- Knowledge on software development for embedded controllers
**What Makes You Stand Out**:
- Experience with CAN systems and CAN tools
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools
- Understanding of Systems Engineering principles
- Advanced degree in and engineering discipline or computer science
**Education (or equivalent experience)**:
- Computational systems, IT Engineering.
