As a software engineer for the Amazon Devices business, you will own and execute on some of the long-term technical initiatives and build products, features, and services that facilitate the entire customer journey starting from search until checkout. This is a highly visible role and inherently cross-functional - you will work closely with multiple product managers, design, senior and principal engineers across multiple teams and orgs to deliver new products, features, and services. We already have a lot of exciting, greenfield opportunities on our roadmap ready to go.We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background, customer obsession and the ability to thrive in a ambiguous environment. You are a champion when it comes to code reviews and design reviews. The ideal candidate will have industry-leading programming skills and knowledge of object oriented development and an established background developing web based applications and services across multiple platforms or high-volume service architectures.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming languagePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
