
Quality Engineer – Systems, Audits & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management Systems aligned to international quality standards certifications (AS9100, ISO9001, and IATF16949).
- Review, update, and maintain the internal process audit schedule, including:
- Coordinating and tracking the completion of internal audits by direct reports.
- Leading meetings between auditees and auditors to resolve concerns and reach agreements.
- Manage internal process audit records and databases by gathering, reviewing, consolidating, and maintaining quality records.
- Review, update, and maintain corrective action records related to non-conformities, ensuring databases are updated and information is properly distributed to stakeholders.
- Coordinate and lead meetings between owners and process auditors to resolve concerns and issues related to corrective actions.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System, including:
- Process audits and internal corrective actions.
- Customer requirements and international standards compliance.
- Customer audits and follow-up actions.
- Lead or participate in interdepartmental continual improvement projects (e.g., procedures, software, systems, master data, tools, trainings).
- Create, manage, and maintain up-to-date records of internal corrective actions, including leading meetings between owners and requestors to resolve issues.
- Ensure competency compliance for internal process auditors according to international standards and Infineon requirements.
- Develop, modify, and maintain Key Process Indicators (KPIs) for internal process audits and corrective actions.
- Perform effectiveness verifications for process audit findings and internal corrective actions as required by international standards and Infineon.
- Drive improvements in the internal process audit system to align with the Infineon Quality Manual and ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO9001, and IATF16949.
- Enhance the quality internal process audit system in preparation for the Tijuana growth plan.
- A Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline.
- A solid background in Quality Management Systems, primarily in IATF and VDA, and experience with AS9100.
- Hands-on experience with internal and external audits.
- Previous experience in Quality Engineering (preferred).
- IATF certification as an internal and/or lead auditor (minimum requirement).
- Experience in the Semiconductor and Electronics industry, specifically in the Automotive sector.
- A proven track record of collaborating in multicultural teams.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
