- Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure timely delivery of direct materials.
- Track and adjust inventory levels to maintain optimal stock while avoiding overstocking or shortages.
- Track shipments in transit, proactively addressing potential disruptions or delays.
- Analyze production schedules and align material procurement to meet production demands.
- Address supply chain disruptions by identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
- Use ERP systems to track purchase orders, inventory levels, and supplier performance metrics.
- Coordinate with logistics and transportation teams to expedite shipments when necessary.
- Generate and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), including delivery reliability and material flow efficiency.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials management, preferably in the automotive industry. Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
