- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across software, hardware, and system integration domains.
- Contribute to the development and integration of embedded control systems, including architecture and implementation.
- Apply model-based design and physical system modeling to optimize system performance.
- Guide cross-functional teams in defining system requirements and architecture strategies.
- Participate in technical decision-making to ensure alignment with business and engineering goals.
- Lead or support technical reviews of specifications, algorithms, and designs.
- Solve advanced control system challenges using simulation and analytical methods.
- Define scopes of work and manage external contractors and consultants.
- Mentor engineering staff and advise on emerging technologies.
- Maintain technical expertise through professional development and collaboration.
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with a focus on real-time control systems; or
- M.S. with 5+ years of relevant experience; or
- B.S. with 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in embedded control systems.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in real-time embedded control systems, including software/hardware integration.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and embedded development environments.
- Experience with model-based development tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow).
- Strong foundation in control algorithms, signal processing, and system simulation.
- Familiarity with microcontroller and processor families (e.g., ARM Cortex, TI DSPs, NXP).
- Experience in ultrasonic
- Experience with artificial intelligence techniques (e.g., expert systems, neural networks, fuzzy logic).
- Background in digital signal processing (DSP).
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Demonstrated leadership in technical reviews and mentoring.
- Active participation in industry groups and professional development.
