Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Engineering Manager supervise, coordinate and evaluates customer specifications and determines best fit of existing product or processes, which will meet or can be modified to comply with customer specifications. M.E.M will coordinate the activities of Process Engineers to optimize selected product and process designs. Develops new products, adaptations or new processes as required. Provides support to engineers and technicians in training, problem solving, product or process characterization, design and development, process efficiency improvements and continuous improvement activities. Requires the ability to communicate effectively. Must be able to mentor and coach peers and subordinates in product or process design and development as well as market technologies to drive continuous improvement.
In all activities, some travel may be required.Primary Responsibilities1.Product or Process Design.
Interfaces with top management, customer, sales team, Product Engineering, and launch engineering to select, modify and optimize products or processes to meet customer requirements. Using design review meetings andor statistical tools, Eng. Mgr. will guide the development and optimization of product or process to meet customer specifications. Process engineering will apply statistical experiments to optimize process capability.2.Product or Process Optimization.
Manufacturing Eng. Mgr. will be a resource for the design, optimization, launch and manufacturing of product or process issues and further optimize products for manufacturability, cycle time, cost reductions and transfers from other CTS facilities. Eng. Mgr. will manage to drive design reviews and FSA final ship acceptance.3.Product or Process Research and Applications.
Research opportunities in which products or processes may have potential to be disruptive technology or new technology for future application.4.IP Development.
Address shortfalls in products, materials and processes through development of creative and innovative approaches.5.Process Sustaining Engineering.Monitor factory issues with products and processes post launch. Provide necessary support to ensure order fulfillment, OTD, Product Quality, Scrap Reduction, Yield Improvements, Etc.Requirements
Solid experience on Engineering and Process Engineering areas, 10 years, Previous Management level Experience on technical areas, Electronics Engineer, Masters degree preferable. In depth knowledge of materials and processes. Working knowledge of analytical tools, statistical techniques, problem solving techniques and continuous improvement certification.
Electronics Engineering or a close related field is a Must.
Experience in ceramic based electronic products is a Plus.
Lean Manufacturing certification
Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
Design of experiments

Management level experience is a Must
Product costing and financial metrics
Product and Process Cost savings experience.
