Job Category: LogisticsJob Description:We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Logistics Analyst with a strong emphasis on transportation and freight analysis. This role will be instrumental in evaluating carrier performance, managing freight costs, optimizing transportation networks, and driving strategic improvements across our domestic and international shipping operations.The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of freight modes (LTL, FTL, intermodal, air, ocean), strong analytical and systems skills, and a proactive mindset for process improvement.Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze transportation data and carrier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and service improvements.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on key transportation KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, freight spend, damage claims, carrier utilization).
  • Evaluate and recommend transportation strategies for inbound and outbound shipments across all modes (parcel, LTL, TL, ocean, air).
  • Support carrier selection, negotiations, and contract management in partnership with procurement and logistics leadership.
  • Lead freight audit and payment analysis to identify discrepancies and ensure invoice accuracy.
  • Optimize route planning, consolidation, and mode selection to minimize cost and maximize service levels.
  • Work closely with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to manage day-to-day transportation issues and resolve disruptions.
  • Provide data-driven insights for transportation budget forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Stay current with transportation regulations, compliance issues, and industry trends affecting freight movement.
Qualifications:Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in transportation logistics, freight analytics, or a related function.
  • Proficient in TMS (Transportation Management Systems) such as Oracle, SAP, MercuryGate, or similar.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, or Tableau preferred).
  • Strong understanding of domestic and international transportation modes and regulations.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English
Preferred:
  • Experience working with 3PLs, freight brokers, and/or international freight forwarders.
  • Knowledge of freight audit/payment systems and practices.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CTL, CLTD, Six Sigma, PMP).
