**Job Description**:
The Sourcing Manager, Supplier Development is key member of a dedicated team responsible for identifying and developing key suppliers and executing our strategic plan to reduce cost and increase agility and flexibility in our global supply chain.
**Job responsabilities**
- Lead the scouting process for new suppliers and asses new and existing supplier capability.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow and mature the local supply base, collaborating with the global category teams and quality engineering.
- Build relationships with new and existing suppliers, assessing the business risk and commercial growth with key partners.
- Collaborate with engineering, new product development teams, the plants and the individual business units to identify and develop suppliers to meet key goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership in problem solving activities related to supplier capability.
- Provide expertise in leveraging global commodities markets.
- Establish and drive explicit year over year challenges for the supply base based on the product needs, external market trends, supplier performance improvement opportunities and the expected rate of technology insertion.
- Identify and recommend improvements to supply chain metrics and performance standards in order to secure benefits for the Fortune Brands product development processes, suppliers and/or the customer (e.g., cost savings, new technologies and innovations, operating efficiencies).
- Cooperate with Category teams by providing expertise in contractual agreements.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering or related field
- At least 8+ years of Sourcing, Supplier Development, and/or Manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated ability of identifying, introducing, and developing new suppliers in the Mexico/Latin America Market.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and grow customer-supplier relationships.
- Global Market sourcing experience is essential
- In depth knowledge of key supply chain processes & current best practices.
- Project Management and Leadership expertise.
- Demonstrated experience in creating/upgrading Supplier Performance/Capability
- Ability to travel Domestically (Mexico) and Internationally - up to 25%
- Business English proficiency.
