- Oversee the day-to-day operations of pools, beach areas, and related recreational facilities.
- Develop and implement pool and beach activities/programs that enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain high visibility in pool and beach areas, engaging with guests and ensuring service standards.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate pool and beach staff
- Enforce all health, safety, and resort policies related to pool and beach operations.
- Monitor water quality, cleanliness, and functionality of all equipment and facilities.
- Manage the department budget, including payroll, expenses, and revenue targets.
- Drive up selling opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, guest feedback, and operational reports.
- Collaborate with other departments (Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Security) to ensure seamless operations.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required for this position
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Recreation, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum experience of three (3) years in Food & Beverage Department Head position
- Two (2) + years’ experience working within a luxury hotel or similar environment is considered an asset
- Knowledge of pool/beach operations and safety regulations
- Ability to work with all hotel systems and maintain a high attention to detail.
- Understand and ability to deliver high quality, luxury service standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Cross-cultural sensitivity and customer service orientation
- Guest centricity and understanding of the importance of guest preferences.
