**Title**: Manufacturing Engineer II (49200317)
**Primary Location**: Mexico (MX) - Coahuila IJD Saltillo
**Function**: Manufacturing Engineering
**Main Responsibilities**:
Plans, coordinates, and performs manufacturing engineering work for Tractor assembly process.
Operates and may act as lead person in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process.
At this level, projects are of broad scope and responsibility or a significant portion of a major and diverse project or process requiring great depth of engineering knowledge; decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers.
May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel, contractors, suppliers and other engineers.
Provides technical consultation and a knowledge base, is recognized as an expert within, or outside, a unit for a specific process, function or product line.
This level may have supervisory responsibility for up to three employees within a technical discipline.
**What Skills You Need**:
- Works within the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) to plan and implement the manufacture of new drivetrains or major new processes.
- Leads or manages projects in manufacturing engineering of moderate to large scope.
Plans, coordinates, the installation of new equipment or product programs.
- Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement initiatives of broad scope.
- Researches, develops and implements smart tools to optimize product, processes and facilities.
- Leads in the development and implementation of plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System of broad scope.
- Defines and leads team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency of broad scope.
- Defines and leads analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology of broader scope.
- Leads the development of alternate pay plans for wage employees, identifying key performance metrics.
- Define and implement the factory master plan for drivetrain assembly module.
**What Makes You Stand Out**:
- Manufacturing Engineering Expert (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.).
- Expert on the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).
- Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities.
- Working knowledge of database management tools, the various loan accounting systems, and process management systems.
- Knowledge of capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process.
**Education**:
Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
