
Quality Engineer

- Actively participate in early phases of new product or program launches, ensuring quality requirements are met from design to mass production.
- Collaborate in product and process development, including design reviews, DFMEA/PFMEA, control plans, and validations.
- Serve as the direct quality contact for customers, handling requirements, audits, technical negotiations, and problem resolution.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action management using structured methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
- Monitor key performance indicators such as PPM, scrap, complaints, FFT, internal rejection, audit compliance, cost of poor quality, among others.
- Ensure proper implementation of quality system requirements under standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or equivalents.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, including preparation, response, and closure of findings.
- Identify and propose continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives, contributing to operational efficiency and business profitability.
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Logistics, and Suppliers to promote teamwork and ensure final product quality.
- Manage technical documentation and quality reports (PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC), ensuring traceability and regulatory compliance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience: 2-3 years in automotive quality, preferably in CNC machining.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Interpretation of technical drawings and GD&T.
- Use of Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
- Process capability analysis (Cp, Cpk).
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
- Structured problem-solving (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
- Intermediate to advanced English (B2+), required for customer interaction and documentation.
- ERP systems (SAP preferred) and basic metrology knowledge.
- Availability for urgent support outside regular hours.
- Language: Advanced English.
