Objective:
Responsible for driving national Vans sales performance across retail, fleet, and agent channels, with a strong focus on volume growth, profitability, and premium brand positioning.
The role includes defining and executing sales strategies, steering performance with the regional sales manager team, and managing agent relationships.
The position leads the Dealer/Agent Sales Committee, oversees national fleet customer engagement, and ensures compliance, including implementation of the eKYC process.
A core responsibility is translating market insights into actionable plans while leading a high-performing, customer-focused sales team.
Day to day (main tasks):
Retail Sales Performance Steering: Monitors, analyzes, and optimizes retail sales performance on a continuous basis.
Defines and implements effective retail programs, sales campaigns, and tactical measures to ensure volume, mix, and profitability targets are achieved.
Ensures transparent performance reporting and proactively addresses market deviations.
Fleet Business Steering – Key, National & Medium Accounts: Leads the commercial van fleet strategy, overseeing acquisition and retention of key, national, and medium-sized accounts.
Manages pricing negotiations, contract structures, and service packages to ensure competitive positioning and customer satisfaction.
Builds strong B2B relationships to secure recurring business and identify new opportunities.
Sales and Growth Strategy Development: Leads the creation and execution of short-,mid-, and long-term sales strategies to support market growth, brand positioning, and profitability.
Prepares and leads the alignment of all regular monthly, yearly and sporadic sales discussions with MB Vans Headquarters in Germany, ensuring local needs are reflected in global planning and that initiatives are adapted for the Mexican market.
Agent Steering and Steering of Regional Zone Managers: Responsible for the effective steering of the national agent network, ensuring sales targets and customer experience benchmarks are consistently met.
Leads and supports a team of Regional Sales Managers to optimize agent performance across all regions, providing clear direction, tools, and accountability structures.
Drives agent development, network planning, and performance reviews.
Compliance in Sales Activities: Ensures full compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards in all sales processes.
Implements internal controls and trains the team on responsible sales practices, data protection, and financial compliance.
Cooperates with audit and legal departments to maintain integrity and risk management.
Team Leadership: Provides clear leadership and direction to the national sales team, including Regional Managers and support staff.
Fosters a high-performance culture, develops talent, and ensures continuous professional development.
Promotes accountability, open communication, and collaboration within the team.
Oversees the execution of the KYC process for all sales transactions, ensuring compliance with corporate and legal standards.
Safeguards the integrity of customer identification and verification procedures by working closely with the local eKYC provider to maintain an efficient and secure digital process.
Ensures all necessary documentation and validation steps are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Additionally, aligns regularly with the MB PC team to ensure consistency, standardization, and best practice sharing across divisions.
Dealer/Agent Sales Committee Organize and lead the monthly Dealer/Agent Sales Committee meetings to review sales performance, align on strategic priorities, and address market opportunities and challenges.
Report key outcomes and decisions to the General Dealer/Agent Council, which includes Dealer/Agent Directors and General Managers.
Profile:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Automotive Engineering, Economics, or a related field is required.
Previous experience:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably within the van or commercial vehicle segment.
Languages
: Advanced English
