BIC team members are empowered to take ownership of their careers and bring their unique perspectives to the table to make a meaningful impact on our mission.It's a colorful world - make your mark by joining the BIC team today.Purpose of the JobEnsure the molding area meets performance targets and supports growth.Key AccountabilitiesControl molding process parameters on all injection molding machines, efficiently managing people, systems, and raw materials.Lead start-up of new machines, molds, and processes; drive expansion plans and culture change initiatives.Maintain KPIs: OEE, safety, scrap, BOM consumption, downtime, PPM, standard costs, and turnover.Implement new tooling, processes, and auxiliary equipment.Mentor cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact cost-saving projects.Troubleshoot molds and machines, ensuring quality and part conformity.Provide technical guidance to Process Technicians, Mold Technicians, Tool Room staff, and Production Supervisors.Conduct operational and financial analysis to recommend process improvements.Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental standards (IGS, SIMPLE philosophy).Key RelationshipsReports to: Molding Maintenance ManagerDirect reports: Injection Set Up Process TechnicianInternal stakeholders: Production, Warehouse, Quality, Packaging, Printing, and AssemblyRequirementsBachelor's degree in EngineeringMinimum 5 years' experience in IMM setup processesCertified in Systematic Molding (Scientific Molding) and Molder MasterDeep knowledge of plastics, molds, and basic Lean ManufacturingBasic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systemsFamiliar with World Class Quality standardsAdvanced English (technical and conversational)ChallengesExecute all stages of the Saltillo Expansion Plan and new IMM start-upsSolve setup process issues using structured problem-solvingMaintain engagement and discipline of the Process Technician teamOptimize cycle times, reduce changeovers, and minimize scrapDecision-Making AuthorityStop machines for safety, quality, or equipment issuesAdjust process parameters to ensure qualityEfficiently allocate resources to meet volume, quality, and customer requirementsScope & ImpactManage resources and process parameters to deliver high-quality plastic parts according to BOM and standard costsSupport production for customers in USA, NSF, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Ecuador, Argentina, Uruguay, Fiji Islands, Oceania, and othersDrive cost control, process optimization, and efficiency gainsBIC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
