Run what runs the world.This Position reports to: Operations ManagerYour Role: Own the ChallengeIn this role, you will act as the technical lead for all engineering activities within assigned projects. You will ensure that all engineering disciplines are executed efficiently and cost-effectively. You will also serve as the design authority for your discipline, overseeing the completion of engineering deliverables.The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-HybridGlobal relocation/LTA support will not be considered for this position.This role is contributing to the Robotics Business Unite in Mexico.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate engineering teams (fewer than 10 members), including both in-house and outsourced resources.
  • Support project installation, commissioning, and site activities by clarifying technical issues and resolving engineering errors.
  • Guide project engineers and designers in translating conceptual designs into engineering documentation, including modeling, prototyping, and calculations.
  • Apply design thinking and design-for-excellence principles in project execution.
What it takes to Run what runs the world
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably using CATIA, SolidWorks, and/or AutoCAD.
  • Experience in mechanical manufacturing processes, ideally related to the steel and/or aluminum industry.
  • Strong communication skills with experience interacting directly with clients and/or suppliers.
  • Advanced English proficiency is needed.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Experience conducting static and dynamic studies for tool testing is a plus.
  • Previous experience leading engineering teams is a strong advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering completed.
