2. Plan in coordination with the demand planner, operations director, plant manager and commercial director the supply of imported and domestic raw materials based on production consumption, safety stocks, minimum purchases, inventories, production and sales forecasts, and the market situation in general.
3. Negotiate and arrange credit lines with suppliers.
4. Provide information to operations management and general management on sudden changes in the import and domestic purchasing market.
5. Responsible for all direct and indirect purchases of raw materials, materials, services, equipment or fixed assets, domestic and imported spare parts.
6. Manage and supervise the supply functions in accordance with established and approved policies.7. Supervise the import process of materials, issuing the corresponding purchase orders and obtaining the necessary import permits for this function.
8. Keep informed about changes in Laws, Decrees, Regulations, Provisions and Calendar Controls that affect the acquisition of all products, whether domestic or foreign.
9. Coordinate the activities and functions of the purchasing department with the other departments of the company, collaborating with the procurement of new materials, their research, changes and/or special needs.
10. Maintain good relations with customs agencies and government agencies (SE, COFEPRIS, SEMARNAT, SEDENA, etc.), corresponding and necessary for the proper performance of their duties.
11. Supervise and authorize all purchase orders with his/her electronic signature in the JDE or SAP system.
12. Update the Quality System ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 in the area.13. Prepare and present to his/her immediate supervisor the budgets for the year and annual objectives of his/her department. Once approved, he/she recommends the strategies and prepares the necessary action plans for the fulfillment of his/her goals.
14. Propose cost reduction projects and supply strategies.
15. Supervise the export process, complying with current applicable regulations.
16. Supervise the S&OP process performed by the demand planner.
17. Perform supplier evaluation and seek supplier development.Requirements & Qualifications
- Industrial Engineering, Chemistry or related field/ Bachelor's degree in International Business, Administration or similar.
- Desirable postgraduate degree in Sourcing, Planning, Logistics and/or Supply Chain.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years supervising purchasing and foreign trade departments
