- Follows safety protocol and procedures, supports workplace safety and health, continuous improvement
- Help write and develop safety documentation for plant site
- Perform an initial safety evaluations on new equipment in the site
- Implement Factory Automation Projects for Toluca Plant
- Work with NA Factory Automation, Global, and Toluca teams
- Facilitate projects and develop expertise across the plant
- Own project deployment end to end at plant

- Improve the Process of Automation and Digitalization - Tools, Methods, Analysis, Demonstrations
- Provide recommendations for improving lead time and service levels through speed and flexibility.
- Map information and material flow through a variety of business processes
- Work with Flawless Execution teams to ensure processes are ready for automation or digitization
- Communication
- Engage with different levels of leadership to develop long-term relationships with the goal of becoming a trusted advisor.
- Create opportunities to deliver the automation and digitization messages to key customers and suppliers and collaborate on improvement opportunities.
- Training
- Train plant staff on new technologies being deployed in Toluca
- Educate plant on Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 technologies
- Continual sophisticated training with equipment vendors
- Attend trade shows to stay ahead of on latest trends and technology
- See opportunities for cost reduction, productivity, reliability, product quality, and safety improvement in manufacturing automation equipment
- Develop cases for projects as required
- Write formal request for asset request (AR) as required
- Travel to Flow Controls Automation Lab (Marshalltown, IA USA) to finalize installation plans
- Assist in VSM and other lean assessments to determine new opportunities for automation
- You come up with useful ideas that are new, better, or unique. You ask the right questions to accurately analyze situations. You identify and create the processes vital to get work done.
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience is required.
- Some combination of a demonstrated ability in key functional roles such as Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics, Electrical, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering
- Established proficiency in guiding transformations
- Sound knowledge of mechatronics control, factory automation using PLC, electro-pneumatics devices and sensors, and manufacturing processes.
- Preferred experience with Keyence, Universal Robots, and MIR autonomous mobile robots
- Experience in PLC programming and various PLC hardware is an advantage
- Acquire structured problem-solving and analytical skills
- Able to be hand-on in machine diagnosis & maintenance, engineering evaluation, and experiments
- Committed, self-motivated learner, capable of effective communication and collaboration with others
