- Identify new relationships and business opportunities to increase sales from a targeted market.

- Implement all sales action plans related to my market areas as outlined in the business plan.
- Execute and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g. generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
- Solicit new, and builds on existing, catered contracted business to exceed revenue goals.
- Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
- Participate in sales calls with members of the sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
- Able to support the resort's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
- Work closely with the Area Directors of Sales and Revenue to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.
- Develop strong relationships with the on-property team to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
- Attend all department and hotel meetings as necessary..
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
- Develops relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
- Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, specifically local event planners.
- Closely following up on all business leads within a 24-hour response timeline to clients.
- Plans and executes site visits, stays, FAM trips and experiences for all Group sales visits.
- Acts and the destination expert and liaison for the remoted-based Area Sales team.
- Partners with and provides on-property sales support for the remote-based Area and Global Sales teams.
- High School Graduate (required)
- College Education (preferred)
- Proven success in a similar role, prefer 2+ years of Event/Wedding experience in a luxury market.
- Experience in hotels/resorts or event planning is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish in all areas of communication.
- Preference for a candidate with local, Riviera Maya sales or planning experience.
- Computer literate in relevant computer applications including Google Suite, and Delphi
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
