- Plan, coordinate, and direct bottling operations to meet the production plan and OEE targets.
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP, GMP/GCCP, ISO 9001 and COFEPRIS guidelines, safeguarding product quality and safety.
- Deploy Lean/Six Sigma tools—SMED, Centerlining, 5S—to eliminate losses, reduce scrap, and boost line efficiency.
- Apply SMED and Centerlining to minimize change-over time and process variability.
- Coordinate the introduction of new products and packaging elements (bottles, closures, labels), validating technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and process stability.
- Design and implement preventive, predictive, corrective, and condition-based (CBM) maintenance programs aligned with TPM and RCM pillars.
- Ensure data integrity and traceability in CMMS, MES, and SAP; lead root-cause analyses (RCA) to reduce downtime and increase availability.
- Guarantee compliance with, Health & Environmental standards (NOM-STPS) and ISO 14001/ISO 45001.
- Manage the spare-parts warehouse, ensuring proper classification, rotation, and availability of critical spares.
- Monitor and improve reliability KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, technical backlog, equipment availability).
- Prepare and execute the three-year capital-investment plan for Bottling and the plant, defining business case, budget, timeline, and ROI.
- Manage CAPEX project planning, execution, and close-out using PMBOK, Agile or other best-practice methodologies.
- Coordinate planned shutdowns, integrating maintenance and engineering upgrades without disrupting operations.
- Negotiate equipment and technical-service contracts with suppliers (in coordination with Procurement) and evaluate third-party performance.
- Prepare, control, and report OPEX and CAPEX budgets; identify cost-savings, energy-efficiency, and waste-reduction initiatives.
- Recruit, develop, motivate, and evaluate staff (operators, technicians, engineers, supervisors); design annual training plans and keep the Skills Matrix current.
- Promote behavioral-safety programs, Near-Miss reporting, and 5S, fostering order and cleanliness across all areas of responsibility.
- Manage performance indicators (KPIs), present results in plant meetings, and propose data-driven corrective and preventive actions.
- Champion sustainability and cost efficiencies initiatives aligned with corporate goals on carbon-footprint, waste reduction and efficiency targets.
- Represent the area during internal, corporate, and customer audits and in Operational Excellence forums, sharing best practices and closing findings on time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Food or Chemical Engineering (or related). Master’s (MBA or Operations) preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in industrial plant environments.
- Solid knowledge of TPM, RCM, CBM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and project management.
- Proficiency in maintenance management tools (CMMS, SAP PM, etc.).
- Strong analytical, leadership, and execution capabilities.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Minimum 8 years in beverages/food or FMCG industry, leading Bottling and Maintenance simultaneously and managing CAPEX projects.
- Proven record implementing TPM and Lean/Six Sigma and running asset-reliability programs.
- HACCP, GMP/GCCP, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, COFEPRIS requirements.
- Project-management methodologies (PMBOK, Agile), industrial automation & digitalization (MES, IIoT).
- SAP PP/MM & PM, CMMS, MES, Power BI, AutoCAD/Plant 3D, project-management software.
- Proven track record in development and gaining alignment to complex procurement strategies.
- Able to manage in a matrix environment and to effectively engage with critical stakeholders of same and other functions.
