Maintenance Control EngineerObjectiveEnsure the proper operational management of maintenance work orders, materials, tools, and resources required for the efficient execution of preventive, corrective, and shop maintenance activities. This role facilitates planning, monitoring, documentation, and logistical support during the shift, ensuring the availability of information and resources to meet maintenance performance indicators and equipment availability targets.Main Responsibilities
  • Daily delivery to the Maintenance Supervisor of scheduled work orders for execution.
  • Generation and recording of shop maintenance work orders (TACEB). Entry of responses and technical closure of work orders in the maintenance system. Review and completion of technical information in closures.
  • Request and follow-up of spare parts with the Warehouse, management of material returns, inventory control of the tool and material room, preparation of requisitions for detected shortages, and generation of immediate purchase requisitions as needed. Support in managing the budget for spare parts and consumables.
  • Assistance in preparing sketches or technical drawings for maintenance requirements, generation of release orders for materials leaving the plant, and support to the Supervisor during urgent situations on shift.
  • Follow-up and collaboration in the design of preventive and corrective maintenance plans, as well as support in continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned to improve the efficiency of plan and work order management. Keep maintenance plans and checklists updated according to failure history.
  • Perform analysis of recurring failures in critical equipment and propose corrective actions, while monitoring improvement and action plans already in place.
  • Provide support during internal and external maintenance audits (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 14001). Manage and control technical documentation such as drawings, manuals, and maintenance history. Train personnel in the proper recording and closure of maintenance activities, interpretation of technical drawings, and continuous development of the teams. Generate weekly and monthly reports on maintenance progress.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge in Aluminum Handling, Operations, Maintenance Planning & Control, Manufacturing Industry
  • Technical Competences: TPM, Design and Interpretation of Technical Drawings .
  • Soft Competences: Conflict Management Communication, Negotiation, Decision making, Leadership.
  • Language: English (full bilingual proficiency)
