
Cash Application and AR Supervisor

- Serve as a hands-on leader with deep operational involvement.
- Lead and develop a small, focused team of Cash Application professionals, driving continuous improvement.
- Oversee the posting of all daily cash receipts (checks, wires, ACH, direct debits, credit cards).
- Investigate and resolve unapplied cash exceptions by working with banks, customers, collections, and third-party partners.
- Analyze root causes of unapplied cash and track issue resolution over time.
- Proactively manage customer outreach related to unapplied or discrepant remittances.
- Manage intake and resolution of AR-related requests (e.g., ServiceNow tickets).
- Partner with Treasury on bank account process improvements.
- Reconcile daily bank activity to the AR sub-ledger and ensure alignment with the General Ledger.
- Address and reduce negative AR balances, demonstrating improvements over time.
- Execute the AR month-end close process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date desktop procedure documentation.
- Monitor and report on key metrics and KPIs, driving action plans based on insights.
- Operate within Global Finance Shared Services standard operating procedures.
- Ensure SOX controls are implemented and operating effectively.
- Support internal and external audits as needed.
- Contribute to broader AR team initiatives and ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a Shared Services or Cash Application function.
- Experience with HighRadius or similar automated cash application tools preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause resolution.
- Proven ability to drive automation and process improvement in high-volume environments.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and capable of working flexible hours on-site.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Comfortable presenting ideas and updates to various stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficient in SAP; advanced Excel skills are preferred.
