- Plan and Execute the Supplier Quality for the "Americas" region including:
- Lead: The regional team of Supplier Quality & Supplier Development Engineers
- Focus Supplier Program: Champion the program to reduce PPM using proactive quality tools.
- Supplier Assessments: Deploy strategy to conduct assessments, monitor progress and actions.
- Supplier PPM & Defects: Use proactive tools, monthly action meetings to reduce PPM & sustain.
- Knowledge Management & Special Projects: Responsible for the Top Defect Matrix, APQP - New Product Supplier Quality readiness , safe launch plans, PPAP's and Existing Product / Refresh programs.
- Other Leadership activities: Including preparing and presenting content during executive / global operations reviews.
- Standardize processes, training, metrics, standards, operational excellence, and analytics.
- People Development: Skills Matrix, Coaching / Mentoring, etc.
- 8-10 yrs+ experience in supplier quality, development, operations or related areas.
- Experience in Manufacturing, Process, Quality & at plants.
- Engineering knowledge of DOE, FMEA, SPC, Process Characterization, GR&R
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP & Quality Assurance systems.
- Proficient user of six sigma tools such as COE, DOE, SPC, Process Mapping, etc and the ability to interpret findings and make recommendations.
- Proficient in the use of Quality improvement principles, RCCA, 8D and Six Sigma
- Ability to interpret component specifications & anticipate design or part discrepancies that lead to quality or reliability problems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to create presentations and interact with cross functional leaders.
- Experience with leading supplier quality engineers at multiple locations within Americas (multi-site).
- A valid passport / VISA and the ability to travel both domestic & internationally (15-30%)
- Self motivated & passionate to drive zero defect quality culture
- In depth quality assurance and manufacturing experience
- Mentor junior members or peers Strong project management skills
