Job OverviewThis PQS Order Engineering Leader will work in the Power Quality Solutions (PQS) division of Hubbell, producing transformers, power resistors and related resistor systems. The Order Engineering Leader and his team are responsible for taking high level design detail and developing detailed production drawings and bills of material. The Engineering Leader is also responsible for ensuring Engineering processes are documented and implemented while tracking defined metrics. In addition, the Engineering Leader will work closely with the Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Sales personnel, ensuring production orders are produced correctly and on time. In addition, the Engineering Leader is responsible for leading and managing the engineers in the team. They will motivate the team to do their best work, helping them feel valued and supported.A Day In The Life
  • Convert high level design detail to detailed production drawings and bills of materials for manufacturing utilization
  • Create production drawings in AutoCAD® , AutoCAD® Inventor and Solidworks®
  • Create Bills of Material & Routings for products within SAP
  • Interface directly with manufacturing team to resolve production issues
  • Establish and update Engineering processes for documenting new products
  • Establish new model release and change processes
  • Track metrics related to documentation timing and accuracy
  • Update Engineering documentation
  • Manage a team of Order Engineering engineers

  • Candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record of leadership
  • Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base with unique Engineered to Order (ETO) products
  • Proficient with AutoCAD® and AutoCAD® Inventor or Solidworks® software
  • Fluent with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Able to generate/read/interpret schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Education: BS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • 8+ years related work experience with demonstrated managerial and/or team leadership experience.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
