**What does a great Software Development Engineer **do?
**
As a member of the Service Management Solutions team, you would be responsible for developing functionality within the ServiceNow environment.
In collaboration with other team members, you will perform full-scale software development activities, including requirements gathering and analysis, systems design, development, documentation, testing, and deployment
**Responsibilities**:
- Applies advanced knowledge of development principles and concepts to design key component(s) for the ServiceNow environment
- Understands impact on adjacent systems as well as short
- and long-term impact of technical decisions
- Ensures high quality code is delivered that meets specifications
- Proactively identifies opportunities to improve delivery of daily work
- Champions needs of customer community and user experience enhancement
- Acts as technical point of contact for a subset of larger project
- Actively engages in and readily adapts to software development engineering best practices
**What we look for/who would prosper in this role?

- Experience with JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, HTML, AngularJS, Bootstrap, jQuery and integration (REST, SOAP, JSON/XML) highly desired.
- Highly motivated and self-directed.

- Highly innovative, ready to contribute ideas and find interesting and reusable solutions to problems or business needs.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills in solving medium complexity solutions.
