- Collaborates with the Senior Global Planning Manager to align the product testing schedule in order to deliver decoration results according to weekly KPI targets.
- Evaluates new products during development to confirm recommended decoration techniques and locations.
- Provides feedback on changes to product to enhance decoration capabilities.
- Establishes new product decoration standards that maintain a consistent quality of imprint throughout the production run.
- Create and update process documentation for product testing evaluation methods and criteria.
- Researches and implements new methods of decoration and evaluates new materials and inks.
- Oversees the NPI team's comprehensive reports on the results of validations, providing valuable insights to cross-functional teams. Validates production recipes to be used for each item, method and location.
- Maintains strong communication with the R&D Team to validate and address any decoration/adhesion unconformities promptly.
- Oversees production of fixtures on site and communicates requests for sourced tooling and templates.
- Responsible for confirming all necessary tooling, templates, and supplies are available for the production process.
- Attends the weekly NPI Ops meeting and provides solutions to the Physical Product Development team regarding new product decoration testing.
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Technical science.
- 5+ years' experience.
- Promotional Products Industry experience preferred.
- NPI Engineering: Possess a strong foundation in New Product Introduction engineering processes.
- Evaluates situations critically to make informed decisions and solve complex problems with a sense of urgency.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues related to new product introductions.
- Effectively manages multiple tasks, prioritizing activities based on project timelines and organizational needs.
- Possesses a strong foundation in New Product Introduction engineering processes.
- Applies project management principles to ensure the successful execution of NPI initiatives.
- Effectively able to develop relationships across all types of internal and external departments.
- Technical communication throughout the business
- Bilingual communication skills are required to excel in this role
- Excels in the operation of decoration equipment which includes set-up, operation, tear-down and maintenance.
