Finance & Operations Associate

• Maintain accurate accounting records for multiple entities in accordance with IFRS and Mexican GAAP.
• Operate and maintain records in QuickBooks or equivalent platforms.
• Assist preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including investor business review reports.
• Reconcile capital accounts, track cash flows, and oversee financial controls.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors in both Mexico and the United States to prepare tax returns of Angel Ventures’ investment vehicles.
• Ensure timely delivery of compliance documentation and audit materials.

• Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
• Contribute to corporate budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist in improving internal financial tracking tools and dashboards.

• Perform investment analysis and financial modeling for prospective investments.
• Support portfolio company reviews and prepare performance tracking reports.
• Contribute to internal investment memoranda and documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in consulting, audit, financial advisory and/or accounting firms.
• Strong finance and analytical skills and outstanding proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms.
• Understanding of accounting methodologies and principles, including MX GAAP and IFRS, and ability to apply them to complex financial transactions and investments.
• Full professional fluency in English (spoken and written), as 50% of work will be carried out in that language.
• Familiarity with business analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python) is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Experience coordinating with external service providers (auditors, tax advisors, etc.).
• Interest in venture capital and exposure to investment analysis.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and concepts in simple terms.
• Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate interest in startups, entrepreneurship, technology and alternative asset investments.
