- Reporting to the Controller Assistant, Cost Accountant role being responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting records, and analyzing and interpreting accounting records in order to give advice or prepare statements._
What a typical day looks like:
- _ Reconcile trial balance accounts within individual's responsibility._
- _ Prepare/Review Journal Vouchers with appropriate supporting documentation._
- _ Adhere to Direct Material Standard Cost, Capitalization or Direct Labor and Manufacture Overhead in Inventory, Monthly Purchase Price Variance, Cycle Counting, and Inventory transfer policy._
- _ Ensure corporate reporting deadlines are met for designated reports._
- _ Develop forecast for areas within responsibility interfacing with individuals outside of cost accounting._
- _ Establish objectives and implement appropriate processes in line with established financial practices._
- _ Ensure budget, schedules and performance requirements are met._
- _ Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS._
- _ Lead financial periodic closing, analysis, and reporting._
- _ Compile monthly rolling year forecast._
- _ May act as lead to lower-level employees_
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- _ BA/BS or equivalent work experience_
- _ Finance or related field or equivalent experience_
- _ Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference_
- _ Intermediate-Advance English_
- _ Knowledge and Experience with Excel_
