What are the tasks that you will be doing?
Coordinate and execute definitive import processes in compliance with Mexican custom regulations
Ensure correct tariff classification of goods according to the TIGIE and international HS codes.
Manage NOM compliance (labelling, certifications, and verification processes before EMA and customs).
Prepare and validate customs documentation (pedimentos, invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin).
Monitor changes in trade regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant with SAT, ANAM, and Secretaría de Economía.
Coordinate with customs brokers and logistics providers to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
Maintain import records and prepare reports for audits or internal reviews.
You need to know:
Mexican Customs Law (Ley Aduanera) and General Foreign Trade Rules (RGCE).
Expertise in NOMs applicable to imports (e.g., NOM-016-CRE-2016, NOM-208-SCFI-2007).
Analytical skills for tariff classification.
Communication and negotiation with customs brokers and authorities.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
