Desarrolla políticas, procedimientos y métodos para evaluar y mejorar la calidad de productos, materiales, componentes y/o operaciones.
Desarrolla, asegura y mantiene la calidad de productos y procesos, incluyendo procedimientos estándar (por ejemplo, ISO 9001:2000, familia de normas ISO 14000), auditorías/revisiones de calidad, métodos Taguchi, reingeniería de procesos, etc.
Las responsabilidades están dentro de la Función de Métodos de Aseguramiento de la Calidad como generalista o en una combinación de disciplinas.
