
Onsite Windows System Engineer

- Troubleshooting incident and complex problems to ensure customer SLAs are met.
- Collaborate with Senior IT Staff to optimize server infrastructure performance and assure security in a high availability environment.
- Support the installation, configuration, and operation of the Windows server environment.
- Participate in the application of security patches
- Collaborate with Cyber team to track and resolve all security vulnerability findings within appropriate timeframes.
- Contribute to the documentation of our standard procedure.
- Manage technical projects or programs (renewal of hardware, upgrades of OS and software, integration of external IT environment to our standard, etc.)
- Contribute to the completeness of our ITIL, and integrity of Infrastructure tools.
- Contribute to the migration of remote workloads to the cloud or data centers
- Participate in the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry, and market trends to assist in operational support

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or "STEM" majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Enterprise scale engineering or relevant discipline
- English fluent
- Troubleshooting Skills for Hardware, Software and Networking Issues
- Proficient with Virtualization Technologies (VMWare, HyperV)
- Microsoft Windows Server 2016,2019 and 2022 configuration, patching, and security hardening experience
- CVE vulnerability remediation experience
- Experience with automating and scripting tasks
- Understanding of Basic Networking Concept (TCPI/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with Active Directory and User Management
- Knowledge of CITRIX Technologies (XenApp, XenDesktop, VDA, VDI)
- Experience with ticketing and change request processes
- Analytical approach to solve complex problems in a complex, large-scale, and multi datacenter environments
- Ability to communicate with many IT and non-IT colleagues internationally
- Self-starter – requires minimal direction to accomplish goals
- Knowledge of Patching Technologies (Tanium, SCCM, WindowsUpdate)
- Understanding of System Monitoring Tools (Solarwinds)
- Knowledge Storage Technologies a Plus (3PAR, Pure, Nimble/Alletra, EMC)
- Basic knowledge of devops tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef
- Requires daily interaction with Team members on meeting calls or in person
- Requires sitting or standing in cubical and meeting rooms
- Employee is regularly required to look at computer screen
- The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
- This is an hybrid position (2 days a week work from home, 3 days in a Wabtec)
