Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will gain exposure to the collaborative activities involved in feature development, working with various engineering teams such as Functional Safety, Software and Hardware Design & Release (D&R), and external suppliers. This is an exceptional opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world automotive environment, develop critical systems thinking skills, and build a strong foundation for a career in automotive engineering.Join our Feature Systems Engineering (FSE) team as a Champ and gain hands-on experience supporting the concept, logical, and technology design, validation, and verification of innovative vehicle features. This collaborative role offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced engineers across various disciplines, including Functional Safety, Software, Hardware Design & Release, and suppliers.Responsibilities:What you´ll do:
  • Feature Development Support: Assist in the development of new features at the systems engineering level, from early concept phases through to production implementation, under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Systems Engineering Application: Learn and apply a Systems Engineering approach to new feature design, understanding how to meet customer needs.
  • Technical Documentation & Analysis: Gain exposure to and assist with wiring and power distribution topologies, schematics, and block diagrams. Support the development of feature specifications, Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) documentation, and feature verification plans.
  • Continuous Improvement: Learn to review existing system designs to identify potential opportunities for cost or quality improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Develop foundational relationships with cross-functional teams and the supply base to learn about emerging technologies and their potential implementation.
  • Problem Solving: Support the analysis of complex cross-functional systems and contribute to proposing innovative solutions. Learn to articulate complex systems, issues, and resolutions clearly and concisely.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Gain exposure to utilizing connected vehicle data and data analytics to develop a deeper understanding of customer behavior and needs.
  • Quality Process Participation: Participate in processes like the Feature Design Review Group (FDRG) to understand and contribute to the improvement of Design Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (DFMEAs) for vehicle features.
Qualifications:What you´ll need:
  • Active student from any of the last 4 semesters of Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline
  • 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python, C++, MATLAB) gained through coursework or personal projects.
  • Strong learning agility and a proactive attitude towards acquiring new skills.
  • Foundational systems thinking and analytical skills, with an ability to break down complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in English, with the ability to quickly understand and articulate complex technical issues.
