Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Perform machine and automation equipment start-ups, ensuring that product and process quality are within established standards.
- Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of production equipment and tools.
- Identify and resolve process problems in conjunction with process engineering.
- Communicate and correct any situation that poses a safety or quality risk or malfunction that affects personnel and/or work teams.
- Maintain records of parameters, monitoring, purges, and process control.
- Coordinate start-up activities, model changes, and projects.
- Maintain processes within the ranges established in the parameter sheets.
- Ensure that product and process quality are within established standards.
- Start up and use automation or peripheral equipment for production.
- Maintain order and cleanliness (5S).
- Make decisions when problems arise.
- Control and improvement of production processes.
- Maintain cycle times and cavitation of molds in accordance with established standards.
- Achieve and improve production start-up time objectives (SMED).
- Coordinate and question scrap to reduce costs and promote continuous improvement.
- High school diploma or technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of plastic injection molding.
- Organized, disciplined, respectful, self-directed, proactive.
- General knowledge of injection molding process techniques.
- General knowledge of automation equipment and peripherals commonly used in the injection molding process.
- Problem-solving methodology.
- Knowledge of injection molds (mold damage analysis).
- Knowledge of Lean tools (SMED, cycle time/cavities).
- Teamwork.
- Identify anomalies for safe work.
- Personnel management.
- Knowledge of MS Office tools.
