- Ensure that cross line of business, high priority strategic initiatives are governed, reported, and executed successfully, in line with financial constraints and within any specific risk appetites.
- Lead as strategic partner to workstream leads by identifying opportunities, constructively challenging conventional thinking and helping to shape the execution of their strategic change needs with a focus on delivering the desired customer, colleague, operational and financial outcomes.
- In-directly lead teams who are accountable for strategic actions. This will include quality assurance, overseeing high value improvement initiatives and creating an environment for development and capability uplift within the Bank.
- The role holder will need to be conversant with all facets of the strategic change process including, initiation of programmes, designing an approach and plan, defining the business needs as well as delivering programme outcomes and ensuring benefits materialize. They will need to be well informed about emerging technology and innovation how this can be applied to solve challenges and improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the Bank's proposition and customer and colleague experience.
- Outstanding understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviors, processes, and objectives
- A broad, enterprise-wide view of the HBMX business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.
- Outstanding knowledge of Transformation – functionally, operationally, and financially
- Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with Executives across the group
- Proven ability in working across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural diverse work environments.
- Strong analytical background and proven ability in analytical rigor, including being able to contextualize data into business activities and conclusions.
- Evidence of successfully managing plans, risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions
