- What the role is about: As a Solutions Analyst intern, you'll bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, working on data warehouse integration, reporting projects, and analytics solutions while applying data science techniques to solve complex business problems.
- What impact this role has: Your work will directly influence business decision-making by delivering actionable insights, optimizing data processes, and creating scalable analytics solutions that support internal customers across the organization.
- What success might look like: Successfully delivering prototype analytics solutions, validating data integrity through comprehensive testing, solving ad hoc business questions using statistical methods, and contributing to the productization of analytics processes with clear documentation and stakeholder engagement.
- An outline of the team: You will collaborate with a cross-functional team including solutions analysts, data scientists, data engineers, data modelers, architects, and product managers.
- The role the team plays at Teradata: The solutions analyst team acts as strategic translators, converting business needs into actionable technical solutions while ensuring seamless integration between data architecture and business goals, all within Teradata's comprehensive analytics platform enhanced by cutting-edge GenAI capabilities.
- Who the position reports to: Director of Analytics CoE within the Enterprise Data Architecture & Analytics organization.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data science (Python, R)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with foundational knowledge in statistics and data analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to commit to a 10-12 week internship program
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) and understanding of data pipeline concepts
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and experimental design principles
- Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Understanding of data modeling, data mining, and exploratory data analysis techniques
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of A/B testing, hypothesis testing, and model evaluation techniques
- Certifications in business analysis, data science, or cloud platforms are a plus
- Experience with issue management systems (Jira, Rally, VersionOne)
- Strong "can do" attitude with ability to learn quickly and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
