The Senior Research Associate (Qualitative) will work closely with academic researchers and other field staff to perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
- Develop and pilot interview instruments;
- Supervise fieldwork.
- Conduct structured and semi-structured interviews.
- Manage data entry and assist in data cleaning and analysis;
- Ensure adherence to data quality protocols, including auditing enumerators, monitoring data collection, and conducting data quality audits;
- Manage critical high-level relationships with local government authorities;
- Participate in meetings with key stakeholders and present research findings;
- Write reports detailing research findings and proposals;
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor; and
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN MEXICO
- Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in the social sciences or related field
- Experience collecting qualitative data.
- Experience conducting interviews.
- Experience developing open-ended instruments;
- Experience in qualitative data processing and analysis (quantitative experience, a plus).
- Excellent management and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English and Spanish with strong communication skills;
- Outstanding writing skills in both languages.
- Proficiency in NVIVO or similar (desirable).
- Familiarity with randomized controlled trials (desirable).
- Flexible, self-motivated, empathic, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and a team player;
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-level relationships with partner organizations.
- Experience working with Mexican police organizations or security issues (desirable)
- Mexican work permit required.
