- Minimum 5 years of experience in performing physical analysis of electronic modules, circuits and components.
- Advanced knowledge of electronics, electronic and electromechanical components, and their materials.
- Comprehensive understanding of the impact of real-world effects on electronic modules and components (e.g. bias voltage, current flow, humidity, thermal effects, etc.).
- Skilled in using the following analysis techniques:
- optical imaging
- cross-sectioning of components and/or modules
- 2D/3D X-ray imaging
- Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (SAM),
- Field-emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM)
- Fluent in written and spoken English (C1)
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent required – or alternately work experience which covers the theoretical background of a master’s degree as required for electronics failure analysis
- Familiar with automotive product electronic design, quality, validation and manufacturing process.
- Experience in the analysis of thermal incidents.
- Aware of current industry standards and regulations related to electronic circuits, modules and components.
- Experience in using functional analysis techniques for electronics such as e.g. curve tracing, probing, HiPot testing of advantage.
