The Cost and Inventory Assistant will be responsible for supporting the administration and control of inventories, as well as the analysis and update of standard costs, ensuring the accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures. This role will play a key part in waste management, inventory rotation, and optimization, contributing to operational and financial efficiency across both plants and branch locations.Responsibilities:Manage and monitor waste generated at the plant.Track and ensure proper inventory rotation.Support the management of excess and obsolete inventories.Participate in the preparation and update of standard costs.Administer and execute the annual and cycle count inventory programs.Collaborate in the monthly accounting closing process.Control and apply necessary inventory adjustments.Ensure compliance with inventory and cost control policies and procedures.Job RequirementsBachelor’s Degree or Engineering (completed or in progress) in Accounting, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory and cost management.Knowledge of inventory control processes and standard costing.Basic to intermediate Excel skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.English desirable.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Desired Competencies:Organization and planning.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Teamwork.Proactivity and results-oriented mindset.Lincoln Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
