1) Drive continuous improvement in quality and customer satisfaction through VGNA Process. 2) Directs the development and implementation of the plant's quality control program. Insures that policies and procedures regarding all aspects of quality assurance and improvement are rigidly adhered to during all manufacturing processes. Includes assignments associated with developing and maintaining total quality systems as well as achieving formal certifications as required (EBEA, ISO/TS). 1. Develops policies and procedures to fulfill with customer requirements. 2. Promotes, Improves, and develops the Quality management system of the business. 3. Reviews, verifies, and approves 8D's to ensure effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions for customer and internal quality issues. 4. Promotes and coordinates the excellence in the operations through the lead of quality strategies and initiatives. 5. Obtains the testing equipment that is required for the correct inspection and provides training to all departments. 6. Manages and directs QMS, SQE and Laboratories quality personnel. Resolve performance problems with subordinates. Develop functional and competency skills of the quality department personnel and improve the team productivity. 7. Ensures Flawless product launches through adherence to APQP process by Supporting Championship of PROLaunch process follow up at Plant Level. 8. Identifies cost out opportunities and work with Operational Excellence department to execute cost out projects. 9. Offers support to manufacturing, analyzing the line rejections and leading efforts to identify and implement projects to reduce PPM's and internal rejections. 10. Assure the implementation of projects owned by Value Stream Structure when the customer returns require formal corrective actions 11. Appropriate levels of this knowledge must be transferred to all subordinates as part of their personal development. 12. Act as a role model following MESH and Safety procedures accordingly, motivates and engage the Quality team with safety initiatives and respect to the Live Saving rules 13. Lead Continuous Improvement activities in the Quality dept. CIF, PRO-Launch, EQS, MESH and others as applicable 14. Active involvement in plant initiatives and execution of plans to improve both ME and EE based in employee survey results. 15. Analyze key organizational quality metrics related to the Balanced Scorecard (e.g. - Customer Returns DPPM, Internal Quality, Scrap, Warranty, Cost of Nonconformance, and Supplier Quality) and perform periodic reviews to evaluate results and establish action plans to close the gaps at an operational level. Provide support to the Supply Chain Management organization relative to Supplier Quality activities of the operation as well as provide Quality interface, expertise and support to the organization's suppliers and partners. Manage / Support the performance and provide career development opportunities to all the employees within the quality function of the organization. Ensures organizational readiness for customer, regulatory, and other third-party assessments related to the QMS Develop and communicate initiatives to measure and improve key business drivers (i.e., customer satisfaction, growth, profitability and asset management, quality, excellence through people). Builds organizational capabilities to support a high-performance culture through mentoring and developing team members. Develop and implement plans to enhance the quality of work life within the plant by assuring that open channels of communication exist with employees; participative employee teams are cultivated and trained; and clean, safe working conditions are maintained. Participate in Kaizen events, Lean Council and Continuous Improvement teams when required.
