Contact: Alfredo Laferte - TA ExpertInternational Traffic SpecialistWhat this position is about - Purpose:Efficiently and accurately prepare, issue and process all necessary paperwork to ensure products are imported on-time, and with the required documentation for compliance with all laws, regulations and company policies.What will you do - Responsibilities:
- Communicate shipment requirements to Customer Service - GVA, revision of all documents received from Customer Service - GVA. Coordinate and assure legal, fiscal and custom information for each importation (i.e. PO number + container or per import permit) is filed correctly. Liaise with shipping lines to obtain the required documentation, including bills of lading, and to identify and resolve discrepancies as required.
- Ensure compliance with import laws and regulations for Tobacco, perform the full process for Import Permit applications & follow-up. Supports with implementation and maintenance of international trade compliance regulations, policies, procedures, compliance programs, training, licensing and import audit programs necessary to remain in compliance with MEX Customs legal requirements.
- Follow-up on shipment information (tracking through Ocean Shipping Line) Assure the coordination between the involved areas for shipments to be released at the customs as JTI Finance, Customs Agent and logistics providers. Tracking of on-time performance and escalate if any unexpected delays.
- Imports cost review, analyze, control and reporting. Support in the preparation of budgets for each planning cycles and monitors spending for adherence to budget, propose efficiencies for savings.
- Metrics compiling and reporting to internal & external teams. Maintain export files in an organized and catalogue system. Support a continuous improvement work environment. Ensure all processes related to the QMS are followed.
- To perform any other tasks given by Logistic Manager in coordination with other members in the LA Region Organization. Coordinate the implementation of the local or global logistic practices, ERP and any other tool to improve Mexico accounting and reporting process
- Bachelor Degree in a related field
- 3 years of experience in related positions
- Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)
- Cross-cultural experience
