- You will be responsible for the manufacture of urgent parts, machined and bent parts required by any work center by means of conventional equipment based on drawings, technical specifications and established quality standards.
- You will operate manual or mechanical bender to make bends in sheets, sills or metal profiles.
- Verify the general condition of the machines before use (cleaning, oil levels, basic calibration).
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, dimensional tolerances, scales, types of surface finish and geometries.
- Identify materials to be worked and their properties to choose adequate machining parameters.
- Assemble parts on the lathe/mill ensuring correct alignment and clamping, in addition to selecting, installing and adjusting cutting tools (burins, milling cutters, drills, etc.).
- Perform operations such as turning, facing, grooving, threading, boring, reaming and milling on parts of varying complexity.
- You will control the dimensional quality using instruments such as calipers, micrometers, calipers, comparators, among others, in addition to adjusting stops, guides and bending angles according to the drawing.
- You will inspect finished parts according to drawings and tolerances.
- Handle waste (chips, oils) according to established procedures.
- Document all changes made, including parameter adjustments and any problems encountered during the process of releasing the first conforming part. You will also feed and manage the KPI's related to the model change.
- Collaborate with other technicians, engineers and production personnel to coordinate the model changeover and resolve any issues that arise.
- Provide training to other operators on new configurations and procedures related to the model.
- You have a minimum academic education as a Higher University Technician in Industrial Processes, Machining, or related.
- You have technical training in Conventional Machining, Industrial Mechanics or related.
- You have at least 2 years of experience operating conventional machines and bending machines.
- You hold knowledge in blueprint interpretation, use of measuring instruments and machining processes.
- You have analytical skills, attention to detail and teamwork.
- You have commitment to safety and industrial hygiene standards.
