Job Summary Job Summary: Export Shipping Clerk will be responsible for international shipments, preparing cargo for export and ensuring compliance with global trade regulations and documentation. Key duties include preparing shipping documents (like commercial invoices and bills of lading), coordinating with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, tracking shipments, resolving logistical issues, and maintaining communication with clients and internal departments to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-efficient delivery of goods.Job Summary: Export Shipping Clerk will be responsible for international shipments, preparing cargo for export and ensuring compliance with global trade regulations and documentation. Key duties include preparing shipping documents (like commercial invoices and bills of lading), coordinating with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, tracking shipments, resolving logistical issues, and maintaining communication with clients and internal departments to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-efficient delivery of goods.Core responsibilities/Description:
  • Understand and apply the fundamentals of imports and exports.
  • Communicate order information to Broker who arranges the documentation and releases to the Customer.
  • Communicate product delivery information
  • Prepare appropriate documentation including export licenses
  • Request material shipment when available
  • Follow the steps to create & check documents, ensure no discrepancy; may have to request revised documents.
  • Follow the customs clearance process and shipment process
  • Follow product through transportation in accordance with INCOTERM defined.
  • Conduct ILVT for Export documentation, validate information, and prepare necessary shipment checklist.
  • Interact with warehouse for appropriate packaging/repackaging for meeting customer needs.
  • Adhere to all company policies, rules and regulations and committed to company’s quality and continuous improvement programs such as MS ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
  • Provide the freight costs within the organization for all shipments
  • Be first filter for carrier/vendor invoices for your shipping point (verify actual cost vs invoice cost)
  • If necessary create purchase requisitions for documentation and transportation costs
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by supervision
Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade , or Supply Chain or Logistics
  • Dangerous goods management for transportation, IATA, IMO SCT certification.
  • +1 years' experience in Logistics and Supply Chain related work
  • MS Office tools excellent knowledge.
  • Fluent business English communication skills
  • Highly collaborative and team player
  • Proactive thinking
Training / Certifications:
  • SAP basic SD training.
  • ERP systems training
