The Test Engineer will provide support on the transfer of products and processes from US to Nuevo Laredo when required. The Testing Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing the tests that ensure the quality and the functionality of a product. They are involved in all phases of the testing program, from designing the test parameters to troubleshooting errors, and writing up final test procedures.POSITION DESCRIPTION:Provide support on the transfer of products and processes from the US to Nuevo Laredo when required.Responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of ICT equipment and testing results.Collaborate with the product design team to determine ICT testing parameters.Develop and write test plans and create test cases specifically for PCBA.Conduct test assurance and design performance tests using new ICT procedures.Troubleshoot errors and optimize ICT testing procedures.Document final test procedures for technicians and operators.Train quality assurance staff and provide technical support as needed.Ensure all tests and procedures comply with company and industry standards, including IPC 610 and JSTD 001.Prepare detailed test reports for management.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Mechatronic, or System Engineering.Bilingual Spanish & English.Familiarity with ICT tools and equipment.Extensive knowledge of engineering and ICT testing procedures.Good problem-solving skills.Ability to troubleshoot and think creatively.Project management skills.Organization and efficiency.Teamworking skills.Able to travel.Desirable knowledge or certification in IPC 610 and JSTD 001.Experience working with PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly).AMETEK, Inc. is a leading global provider of industrial technology solutions serving a diverse set of attractive niche markets with annual sales over $7.0 billion.AMETEK is committed to making a safer, sustainable, and more productive world a reality.
